I have a friend of mine, who is a stay home mom, who wanted to make some extra money on the side. So she took a photography course at the local college (by computer) and now she's got a very lucrative business for herself. In fact, she's the photographer for EIGHT weddings this summer, and that's a lot of money!
She said it's great because people always get married, and they always get family portraits done, etc. and they're starting to call her.
I remember getting my senior pictures in an old hotel, where the guy set me against crumbling walls and old brickwork. The pictures turned out fabulous.He worked out of a crumbling hotel--not really even a studio! And he made a mint from his photography, I can tell you.
You have a good eye, Marian, from what I've seen. Have you ever thought of starting your own studio?
Person one: Wow, great family pics, where did you get them taken?
Person Two: We got them taken in the park by the (insert your last name here) Studio."
Person One: Wow!!
You never know...:-)
What a healthy fish you got there marian...I've always wanted one, unfortunately fishies ain't allowed in work.
