Student's Lament
I've studied and studied, sat at my table and on the floor surrounded by math books and papers with scribbled, crossed out figures. At the end of the lesson, I'm left with not much more knowledge than when I first began. I suspect all this information is acting as an infection. It grows like cancer, rotting my intellect and turning my brain to soup.

(Posting late here) - Have you ever seen the Far Side Cartoon called "Hell"? It shows a man standing in a room surrounded by math books with titles like "Story Problems" "More Story Problems" "Still More Story Problems". (hee hee) Soon you will be dreaming of cars passing each other at X miles per hour...
