Black and White News
A lot of things happened to me today, some great, some not so.
I've decided to move to a city on the mainland where my mother, sisters, and many other relatives live. It will be very different from anything I've ever known, I expect to feel some culture shock. I won't be living as much a loner lifestyle as I have been, I'm going to have to try to find a happy medium. I believe it can be done, actually I'm very excited about the new life I will have. Tomorrow morning I will be getting up shortly after dawn, and walking across town with my suitcase to the depot. I will be taking two greyhound buses, a ferry, and another bus, with long stops in between at bus depots while I wait for my connection. I'm going to spend the weekend with my family - my cousin, whom I haven't seen in many years, is hosting her annual family reunion.
I've typed up my resume and made several copies, I hope to apply for a few jobs while I'm there. My sister is helping me find likely places of employment, and is looking for an apartment for me as well. Today I told my building manager that I'll be leaving this apartment soon. It feels more final now that I've told him.
The college phoned me this morning, to let me know there is a seat available for me to begin my math upgrading earlier than planned. I will probably begin some time next week. I'm told that some people complete the course in as little as two weeks, although with my poor math skills, I'll probably need longer. Still, it sounds like I will be finished much sooner than I had thought, which is wonderful. I took the bus over to the college as soon as I hung up the phone, to finish some paperwork there before dashing off to work. I found out I will be taking the math at home, and only need to go into the college when I want extra help, so it won't interfere with my work schedule. As soon as I'm finished this course, I will be ready to move - probably at the end of August, or September at the latest.
I also got an email, letting me know that my online course to learn how to start a homebased computer based business, can begin as soon as I sign in. Everything is suddenly beginning to roll forward, which is very cool.
I feel excited about my future, and at the same time I'm struggling with deep sadness and confusion over something unrelated to anything I've said here. Who knows what will happen in life. Whatever it is, I can handle it.

It's great that you're positive about your future even through the struggles and sadness. Don't give up you little energizer bunny. The sun and flowers will be there when you are ready. And the birds will be singing for you to take their picture.
Sounds like everything overall is working out great for you.
Must be nice.
Ooooops - sorry about that! I was in a crappy mood yesterday and a few of my comments on blogs came out differently than intended.
Actually - meant to say -congratulations, and I think you'll have a great time getting close to your family.
